I have started crocheting a baby sweater for my sister’s new grandson due to be born soon. It is going to be white trimmed in blue with a hat.
The pattern is one I found on YouTube. I was posted by Mikey of The Crochet Crowd. It is a very easy sweater to crochet as it is crocheted top down in one piece then the sleeves are added. The stitches that are needed are the chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, reverse single crochet stitch and the double crochet stitch. The sweater trim is left up to the individual and talent.
I have taught myself to crochet using a booklet. I learned to read patterns and I have since learned to design my own fashion items. I like to crochet blankets, shawls, vest, sweaters, hats, scarves, and caplets. I have a AA degree in E-Business/Business so I do know something about what is legal for me to crochet for sale and what I would need a license before selling. I will let you know if I think that it would be crossing the line for me to fill a request or not.
I have crocheted many items for myself but much more for others. Here is a picture of me wearing two of the items I have crocheted for myself. The hat is crocheted using a cotton yarn and the shawl is crocheted using an acrylic yarn. The hat actually is white strips and black and white strips. The shawl is three colors in strips of holly and ivy, pine, and Christmas red.
I have often been asked to crochet something like what I wear or like someone sees in a picture. I ask them to buy the yarn or give me the funds to buy the yarn for the crochet project. I am happy to crochet for you.
